UNCONSCIOUS WORK WITH FEARS OF FAILURE, SUCCESS AND CHANGE

By Lee McKing

This exercise helps you overcome your fears of failure, success and change in order to succeed in life. It’s especially good for entrepreneurs and business owners because such fears hold them back towards their success. It works for anyone who needs a shift or to start taking steps towards positive change.

Great for:

  •      Entrepreneurs facing difficulties starting a business
  •      Business owners who have suffered from hidden fears for a long time
  •      People who fear change yet seek a better life

Some of the biggest things holding a person back from achieving their dreams, goals and desires are these 3 fears: fear of failure, fear of success and fear of change.
While fear of failure and fear of change are both very common, many people also fear the extra demands and changes that come with success. For example, an introvert may find the extra attention of success to be very uncomfortable. Even with positive changes, people may be afraid of getting out of their familiar comfort zone and secretly prefer to stay in their safe bubble 먹튀검증.

This exercise will help you (or your client) overcome these fears so you can achieve success and live fully. Here are the steps to complete:

1. Identify the fear of failure (or success or change) to see if you have it. If you do, you will feel the fear coming from somewhere in your body. Identify where it comes from and on a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is really fearful and 1 is nothing, give it a rating.

2. Now focus on the fear and trusting your unconscious mind, allow it to be represented by a symbol. Once you’ve got a symbol, take it out of the body and take note of a few details about it ? it’s color, size, movement, how it feels, etc.

3. Ask the symbol, trusting your unconscious mind to give you the answer, “What is your positive intention (or purpose) for me?”
a. Most people will get an answer. Ask this question to the symbol and let the symbol respond, “If you can give me <answer 1>, what else can you give me that’s positive?” Get at least 3 positive answers.
b. Some people might not get any answers. It could be that they do not trust themselves or their unconscious mind. Another option is to work through the fear of change first, as it might be holding the person back.
c. Very rarely too, some people might get negative responses. Repeat the previous question and remind the symbol and unconscious mind to give a positive response.

Now give thank and ask this to the symbol, “Thank you for giving me <answer 1>, <answer 2> and <answer 3>, but the thing is, do you know you have been giving me the fear of failure instead (or success or change)? So can you change to something else to give me all the positive and none of the negative?” and then wait for the symbol to change 100% before the last step.

Ask for its positive intention or purpose again and once it’s all good, take the new symbol back inside the body, returning it to where it came from originally.

Case study
I worked with a man who happened to have all 3 fears of failure, success and change. Some clients have 1, 2 or all 3 of these fears.

I asked him to identify the source or root of the fear. It was in his heart, the fear of failure. And it was a rating of about 9 or 10. (Step 1)

I asked him to focus on it and the symbol of an old copper coin, like from ancient China, appeared. It was in his chest, so I asked him to take it out of his chest and put it in front of him. (Steps 2 and 3)

I guided him to ask the symbol, “What is your positive intention for me?” and the symbol replied, “to fail” so I reminded him to ask for a positive answer. The symbol took a while (it’s ok to wait) and finally replied, “Wealth”. (Step 4c)

So I repeated, “If you can give me wealth, what else can you give me that’s positive?” “Happiness,” he replied.

“And if you can give me wealth, and happiness, what else can you give me that’s positive?” “Success,” he replied.

We have 3 positive answers so we go into Step 5. “Thank you for giving me wealth, happiness and success but the thing is, do you know you have been giving me the fear of failure instead? So can you change to something else to give me all the positive and none of the negative?”

The symbol started changing and finally became a pure clear diamond. It wanted happiness, success and freedom! A new positive quality appeared. And then I asked him to take this new symbol back into his body. (Step 6)
And then I repeated this process for his fear of success and fear of change.

Tips for coaches:

  •  You can do this exercise with eyes wide open or eyes closed.
  •  Be open with the symbols that come up and respect them. If a knife appears, it may be good or bad depending on whether it represents the fear or after the transformation. Or a cross might appear but it is not necessarily religious.
  •  If there is any resistance from the client, just continue chatting with your client and build rapport. Ease into it and if, in the worse case scenario, nothing happens, then nothing happens.
